Protection against moisture
The Freedom 3D Mesh is the perfect addition to your Freedom Compact roof tent. The base for your mattress ensures better air circulation and prevents moisture build-up. This will help you prevent mold or mildew while you're out and about. 

Material
The 3D Mesh consists of a special spacer fabric with a thickness of 10 mm and consisting of woven, vertical polyester bars. Despite its low weight, it can withstand very high surface loads. The high air content of the structure enables permanent circulation between the mattress and the surface and thus prevents the concentration of moisture.

Why a 3D mesh?
Moisture in the tent can form not only in the canopy, but also under the mattress. It can be caused by body heat or by condensation that collects under the mattress. Since the mattress lies flat on a groundsheet that is impermeable to air and water, it cannot dry out on its own. Either you set the mattress up after each night so that it can dry or you get the 3D mesh, prevent moisture and prevent mold and mildew stains on the underside of the mattress.

Please note: The 3D Mesh is only useful for the “Freedom Compact” roof tents up to the 2023 series. From the 2024 series ("Freedom Compact 1+" and "Freedom Compact 3"), a separate 3D mesh is no longer required, as this is already integrated into the mattress.
